Terms and Conditions

Terms & Conditions: Parkway Appliance Repair LLC

Welcome to our Terms & Conditions page! We know nobody loves reading the fine print, but because modern appliances are complex (and involve things like electricity, gas, and water), we like to keep things 100% transparent. Our goal is to protect your home and ensure we have a mutual understanding of how the repair process works.

Important Note for Online Bookings: Managing Your Appointment

If you schedule an appointment online but later contact us directly via phone or text to arrange an earlier or emergency visit, please let us know you have an existing online booking! Because our technicians' schedules are tightly optimized, uncancelled duplicate bookings prevent us from helping other families who need urgent repair. Online appointments that are not canceled or communicated, resulting in a technician showing up to an unneeded service call, will be subject to our standard diagnostic fee to cover the technician’s time and travel.

1. Diagnostic & Service Call Fees Our diagnostic fee covers the time, travel, and specialized expertise required to get to the root of the problem. This fee is earned at the time of the visit and is non-refundable, regardless of whether you choose to move forward with the suggested repair.

2. Transparency in Troubleshooting (The "Iterative" Process) We pride ourselves on providing an honest assessment. However, modern appliances are complex, and one failed component can often hide another.

  • Our Commitment: We will always advise you if we think a machine is "beyond repair" or if the fix is a high-risk gamble.

  • The Reality: While we follow best industry practices, no repair is a guaranteed "sure thing." By authorizing a repair, you are approving the next logical step in the diagnostic path. You agree that payment for the specified parts and labor is required for the work performed, even if that work reveals deeper, underlying issues that require further attention.

3. Secondary Issues & Masked Failures If a secondary fault is discovered after the initial part is installed (which was previously hidden), we will provide a new, transparent quote for the additional fix. The customer remains responsible for the initial parts and labor already provided, as those steps were necessary to move the diagnosis forward.

4. Parts & Returns

  • Final Sale: Once an electrical or mechanical part is installed, it cannot be returned to the supplier. Therefore, all installed parts are non-refundable.

  • Special Orders: Unique parts may require a non-refundable deposit before ordering.

5. Warranty & Coverage We stand by our work with a 30-day labor warranty and provide the manufacturer’s part warranty (usually one year). This covers the specific part we replaced. It does not cover new, unrelated failures or external issues like power surges, "acts of God," or improper use.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • Property Access: We take great care with your home, but Parkway Appliance Repair LLC is not responsible for minor wear to flooring, cabinetry, or trim necessary to access or move the appliance.

  • Gas & Plumbing Infrastructure: When servicing gas or water lines, existing valves and hoses can become brittle over time. We are not liable for the failure of pre-existing home infrastructure (leaks or breaks) that may occur during the normal course of repair.

  • Consequential Loss: We are not liable for food spoilage, lost wages, or secondary damage resulting from the appliance failure.

7. Payment Terms To keep our business running smoothly, payment is due in full upon completion of the service visit. We accept [Cash/Check/Credit Card/Digital Payments]. Invoices are sent via email and are due upon receipt.
